It sure looks weird...
But it's not a bug, it's the way I intentionally coded the game
(apart from the goat ^^)
In my logic: a dead fleet doesn't switch screen sides.
What happened in that
1st battle of Rantemario :
1) Von Wittelsbach arrived at Rantemario from the left of the map, so "his" (

) fleets were on the left side of the battle screen (too bad no snapshot has been taken)
2) Satch's 3rd fleet (that already was in Rantemario before Von Wittelsbach's arrival) was on the right side of the screen in order to face the incoming enemy
3) Satch's 3rd fleet was destroyed at 01:32 AM --> cease fire
4) New Alliance's fleets arrived from the left side of the map, so Von Wittelsbach's fleets switched sides to face them
> At this time we had on the left 3 active Alliance's fleets, and on the right 1 dead Alliance fleet + 2 active Empire fleets
5) Von Wittelsbach's fleets moved away --> cease fire
So we now have 3 active Alliance's fleets facing 1 dead Alliance fleet:
http://chronicles.kosmosinsel.net/snaps ... 13_16.htmlIt seems logical to me, but I admit I may have a logic from outer space... ^^
If you find this chocking, it may exist simple solutions:
- allowing a dead fleet to switch sides
- or once screen sides have been settled at the beginning of a battle (or skirmish), they don't change until the end of the battle (or skirmish) whatever happens.
Hope someone understands this sides switching issue and can help me choose the best solution

EDIT: the first screenshot at the top of the topic is even easier to explain.
1) Alliance's fleets arrived from the left and faced an Empire's fleet:
http://chronicles.kosmosinsel.net/snaps ... h36_1.html2) the imperial fleet was defeated
3) Alliance's fleets started to move toward the left of the map, so they switched sides (they have no reason to retreat in front of a dead enemy, they just turned back and advanced)
