The current situation is tricky.
Galactic Empire now has a great advantage in terms of number of ships.
With the special "unified galaxy" rules, each FPA player will earn a bit more than 2 times more ships a day than each GE player, but there are almost 2 times more active players on Empire side than on FPA side... So GE still gets almost as many new ships as FPA each day.

That means that unless FPA gets new recruits or manage to achieve tremendous guerilla victories, it will take a very long time before recovering a balanced situation.
And if ever a planet is reconquered by FPA, it will be even worst ^^'

Honestly, I am surprised that the Empire rose to power so strongly this year! Other Empire players may see it differently, but I think it was mainly a change in attitude on our side. I, for one, used to live in fear of the powerful FPA, but somehow I found courage and decided to start striking back! Also I feel like we improved our tactics of both attacking and of reinforcing each other. But even while we enjoy our victories, the fate of the galaxy is never final - after every age comes a new age...

Philosophising aside, I'll do what I can to help us get new recruits! But which side they may choose is written in the stars.
