For a class system:
We could categorize different flagships by how advanced they are (using data from Gineipaedia). The more advanced, the more CP it has and the more expensive it is. For instance, with the Brunhild being the most advanced, it would have more CP and be more expensive. The older model Imperial battleships (like the Berlin, though it looks cool) would have less CP for being less advanced and be less expensive.
A way it could be like for the Empire, as an example:
.5 = cruiser
1 = standard battleship
2 = Wilhelmina-class battleships (i. e. Berlin, Augsberg, Ostmark, Wilhelmina)
3 = Forseti-class battleships (Forseti, Salamander, Skirnir)
4 = Konigs Tiger, Kvasir, Jotunheim, Asgrimm
5 = Tristan, Beowulf, Perceval
6 = Brunhild, Barbarossa
If a system like this is adopted, then new characters just starting out should begin with a standard battleship as their flagship at first, then use the promotion points to buy a new flagship later.
Great!
If we adopt this class system, it would make sense to add a lot of new flagships.
Adding a ship in the game mostly consists of:
- add 2 resized images (one for the left side and one for the right side; in game ship PNG images are 50% smaller than original GIF drew by the Japanese fanartist
Naa)
- adjust the size and position of the reactor flame and neutron beam so it looks nice on screen
I still haven't found a good solution to easily generate nice clean resized images, so every new ship to add takes me time.
Does anyone know an easy way of getting nice reduced PNG images from the original GIF ?
And does anyone want to help me to add the new ships?
